Reader: MPI is the Right Path to Petaflops

Supercomputer user Willi Schoenauer counters IBM’s notion that software has to be re-thought for petaflop architectures:
“Why do we need to change the way we write software just because the computers are getting more powerful? I argue this is not necessary if you write the software the right way — and you should do this independently of teraflops, petaflops or exaflops.” Full Story
