Gartner’s Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2008

At the recent Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, Gartner analysts highlighted the top 10 technologies and trends that will be strategic for most organizations. The top 10 strategic technologies for 2008 include: Green IT, unified communications, metadata management, business process modeling, Virtualization 2.0, mashup and composite apps, web platform and WOA, computing fabric, real world web, and social software.
“Companies should factor these technologies into their strategic planning process by asking key questions and making deliberate decisions about them during the next two years,” said David Cearley, vice president and distinguished analyst at Gartner. Full Story
