Clemson corrals idle computers

Sun HPC customer Clemson University is using spare cycles on campus to create a supercomputing grid that can rapidly process large amounts of data. The Condor program – named for a scavenging bird – searches for computer resources to meet researchers’ needs, said Jim Bottum, Clemson’s chief information officer. Full Story
